We’re pleased to inform you that Minga and Inwole, as members of Commoning Space Network, participated in the founding Assembly of the Community-led Houses Europe SCE. This assembly was held in Berlin from April 1st to April 5th.

The newly established cooperative Community-led Houses Europe (CHE) is committed to promoting alternative financing mechanisms for the development of fair and affordable community-led housing. By embracing innovative funding strategies such as community investment models, crowdfunding, and socially responsible financing, CHE strives to expand access to housing for all.
While CHE’s core activities will include various transactions like lending, purchasing property, leasing, selling, and participating in real estate ventures, its mission extends far beyond financial transactions. With a steadfast commitment to transparency, CHE ensures that its objectives and activities are openly shared with the public. Moreover, CHE recognizes the power of collaboration and engagement. Through partnerships with the European network of community-run houses Commoning Spaces Network e.V. and other international initiatives, CHE aims to magnify its impact and drive positive change on a broader scale. In essence, CHE is not just about economics; it’s about empowering individuals and communities to take control of their housing destiny. As we embark on this journey, we invite you to join us in reshaping the future of housing in Europe.
The founding assembly is just the beginning: as soon as the process of registration is successfully finished, CHE will start promoting its activities and open for new members all over Europe!
